Working together for a better tomorrow

Superior Rates

As a risk retention group, we have additional flexibility to underwrite risks and offer nuanced rates. Although this all starts with a rigid rating process, we are able to work with you to further develop your premium and coverage. Because of our status as a risk retention group, we owe it to our members to write good risks exclusively so that premiums remain low. By working together, all our members will continue to save money each year by joining our association.

Loss Control

In order to reduce the number of claims we see, which would lead to higher premiums for our members, we have an abundance of loss control resources available through our loss control program, which is included free of charge to members of the risk retention group. These include employee safety manuals, OSHA compliance reviews/training, fleet safety guidelines, and monthly newsletters advising members of the latest in loss control and safety.

We also perform a pre-inspection prior to allowing members to join the risk retention group, which focuses on reducing slip and falls, vehicle security/storage, and ancillary safety issues specific to each work environment.

Claim Service

Universal Casualty employs a staff of expert claims specialists internally to handle incoming claims and take care our our members' immediate needs. Our internal claims team members have an average of 20 years' experience working in claims, and have extensive experience working with commercial auto, garage, and dealership claims. In addition to our internal staff, we have also contracted a TPA to handle all claims (except Auto Glass claims), insuring proper, thorough, and fair analysis of the loss through an unbiased interpretation of the policy contract.
